Kanye West and Kim Kardashian have finally reached a divorce settlement months after their eight-year marriage crashed.

The celebrity couple parted ways in March lasted year. They cited “irreconcilable differences” as the cause of their divorce.

Since their split, however, they have been in the news over issues of property and custody of their children.

They were scheduled to appear in court on December 14 to resolve the issues.

But according to Associated Press (AP), court documents filed in Los Angeles superior court on Tuesday revealed that they have reached an agreement.

The media outlet reports that the estranged couple, in separate documents filed through their attorneys, asked the judge to approve their agreed terms.

The divorce settlement provides that the rapper, known as Ye, will pay $200,000 monthly as child support to Kim.

It also provides that the pair will have joint custody and that neither will pay the other spousal support.

It is understood that the agreement was to avert the trial scheduled to begin next month.

West has been in the news in the past months for controversial reasons.

In October, the ‘Donda’ crooner came under fire over his anti-semitic remarks.

The remarks had provoked a chorus of condemnation and mounted public pressure on the companies with whom he has business dealings to sever ties with him.
