Korra Obidi, the US-based Nigerian dancer, has attracted backlash on social media after announcing vacation plans to Hawaii — days after launching a GoFundMe account.

On Friday, Korra cried out for financial assistance to engage in a parental rights battle with Justin Dean, her ex-husband.

The entertainer claimed Dean obtained a court order prohibiting her from posting their two children on social media.

She initiated the GoFundMe campaign to cover the costs of challenging the court ruling and raised over $50,000 from over 950 donors worldwide.

On Sunday, during a Facebook live, the dancer announced that she was going to Hawaii for vacation, three days after she launched her campaign.

This however provoked a chorus of condemnation on social media platforms.

While many users accused Korra of scamming them, others slammed the people who donated money to her in the first place.

“Korra Obidi created gofund me to raise money for legal fees to fight her ex husband in court and una really donate? A queen if you ask me. Shey una no wan get sense,” an X user wrote.

“You won’t donate money to legit gofund me of people that need surgery, have chronic diseases or cancers. But you will carry money to support Korra Obidi that wants to go for vacation. Now you’re shouting that you were used. Make it make sense,” another X user said.

“Korra Obidi, you scammed us,” an X user also wrote.
