Joseph Akinwale, the Afrobeats singer better known as Joeboy, has released a short film ahead of his forthcoming song.

The singer put out the first of the two-part video via his Instagram page on Monday.

The short film titled ‘Is My Love Not Enough’ starred comedians including Remote, Brain Jotter, and Jemima Osunde, the actress.

The short film talks about how the inability of a mechanic to provide for his girlfriend’s insatiable needs resulted in the end of the relationship as well as his decision to go into robbery.

The short film serves as a teaser for his upcoming song featuring Qinq Madi, the Nigerian singer.

The release date of the project was, however, not disclosed.

Joeboy gained popularity under emPawa Africa, a record label owned by Mr Eazi.

In 2019, he won the ‘Best Artiste in African Pop’ prize at the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA).

The singer also bagged the ‘Best Pop’ category at the Soundcity MVP Awards Festival in 2020.

In February, Joeboy announced his exit from emPawa Africa and unveiled his music label called ‘Young Legend’.

Joeboy recently called on Afrobeats stars to support African award shows in the continent rather than pay attention to the Grammys which he referred to as “an American award”.
