Junior Chamber International (JCI) Nigeria has elected Abiola Olorunsola as the new national president to pioneer the affairs of the organisation as from 2021.

His election was announced during the 48th edition of the organisation’s national convention held recently in Lagos.

Olorunsola, presently the Ogun State Property and Investment Corporation (OPIC) head of facilities unit, has served in various capacities at the organisation before emerging the president-elect.

He is the outgoing national treasurer of JCI Nigeria and has also served as the city president of the organisation in Abeokuta in 2016.

In his brief acceptance speech, the president-elect appreciated the general assembly of JCI Nigeria for the confidence reposed in him to lead the organisation as from next year.

He also officially launched the presidential theme for 2021 tagged: “Collaborate for impact: A theme that intends to unite all sectors of the society for accelerated development.”

Other national officers elected include four executive vice-presidents and eight national vice-presidents.

JCI Nigeria, which is an affiliate of the international body of the organisation, engages young and active citizens devoted to taking action and creating an impact in their various communities.

It helps young people across the 36 states of the federation to develop skills, knowledge and understanding needed to make informed decisions and take action.
