With over 300 different ethnic groups, Nigeria is among the most diverse countries in the world. Hence, it is expected that inter-ethnic marriages will come with many complications.

From language and food differences to cultural beliefs, being readily accepting of another person’s peculiarities can be a tough nut to crack.

Although inter-ethnic marriages occur more in Nigeria’s metropolitan cities like Lagos, Abuja and Prot Harcourt, they are still few and far between in the country.

But it appears things are changing and Nigerians may be more open to it, based on a vox pop conducted by Battabox.
