Abraham, in an interview with Bae U, the skit maker, argued that she did not proclaim herself as the “best actress”; rather, it was a title given to her by her fans.

She attributed the title to her confidence, beauty, intellect, and acting skills, adding that she has now embraced it.

“I did not call myself [the world’s best actress], people called me word best because I am the world’s best,” she said.

“My confidence is top-notch, my beauty is top-notch, my brain is top-notch, my acting is top-notch. So, I am world best. I did not call myself, they [fans] called me and I claimed it.”

The filmmaker has made a name for herself in the Nigerian movie industry with numerous nominations and awards to her credit.

She has put out a plethora of hit movies like ‘Fate of Alakada’, ‘Elevator Baby’, ‘Prophetess’, ‘Ghost and the Tout Too’, and ‘Alakada Reloaded’.

While talking about her choice of cast for ‘Malaika’ in an interview, Abraham said she chose Emeka Ike, the actor who had been on a 13-year hiatus due to marital crisis, because she saw him in the role.

She also said she believes he deserves a second chance.
