Segun Wealth, the Nigerian photographer and husband to Toyin Lawani, the fashion entrepreneur, has shared cryptic messages on social media about his relationship.
The entertainer took to his Instastory on Sunday to reveal that he is tired of pretending to the public that his love life is “great”.
In the series of posts, Wealth, a masked photographer, said he is also tired of hiding behind “my skin every single time for the sake of love”.
He described love as “pain and scam” while lamenting the efforts he has made for “love to work”.
Wealth also said he has “decided to move on, sail, and focus more on myself irrespective of what my fans and lovers would say”.
“If crying makes people feel better I will be pure like gold. I am tired I am tired love is pain I mean love is a scam,” he wrote.
“It is just so sad how I always try to be big and hide behind my skin every single time for love sake. How much I hear the sound of my blood rushing and how I try to calm my emotions. Giving my best for love to work. How I put up that smile in public for a perfect relationship but how long do I really want to do this for? Man is not getting any younger for such.
“Perfect picture, perfect video all in the eyes of the public and fans but the heart is in ruins. Please do not call me to order I’m broken.
“This is bigger than me that is why it is so difficult to talk about but what choice do I have I created the water and I should be bold enough to swim in it. Since I have made my manly decision to move on, sail and focus more on myself irrespective of what my fans and lovers would say. We all want love to grow, flourish and succeed because it is not promised to be sweet always.
“This one pain me after masking up all my life now I feel the time is right @deeeunknown unmask yourself and be free like bird and drink from the deepest spring in a place destiny prepared for me. Facing my Fate.”
Wealth and Lawani tied the knot in June 2021. They welcomed their first child together last August.
