Frank Edoho, the Nigerian TV presenter, has weighed into the drama between Charles Soludo, governor of Anambra, and Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP).
Soludo and Obi have been in the news in the past few days.
The controversy started when Soludo, in an interview, claimed the investments Obi made for Anambra while he was governor are now “worth next to nothing”.
Also, in an article published on Monday titled ‘History Beckons and I Will Not Be Silent (Part 1)’, the former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), said the LP presidential candidate does not have the necessary structure in place to win the presidency.
But in response on Tuesday, Obi said the government is a continuum, and as such, Soludo can do better for the state since he is now in office.
The disagreement between the two politicians has continued to elicit mixed reactions on social media platforms, with many Nigerians sharing their diverse opinions.
Joining the fray, Edoho, in a Twitter post, said he is baffled by the fact that Igbo politicians do not support themselves like Yoruba and Hausa.
He also wondered why anyone from the southeast would oppose the presidential ambition of Obi — considering the geo-political zone has been clamouring for the presidency for years.
“Igbo politicians will never stop baffling me. You have the rare opportunity of one of your kin being president but instead of supporting and clamoring for him like Yoruba and Hausa people do with their candidates, you look for ways to disrupt and thwart him! Tufia Kwa!” he wrote.

The media personality, who revealed he is backing the LP candidate for the 2023 presidency, also clarified that his comment is only directed at the Igbo community.
“I am not an Igbo man. Hence my support for Peter Obi is not tribe-related. Nobody has the right to chastise you for choosing Tinubu. My tweet was directed at Igbos for not pouncing at this opportunity to aim for the presidency fervently. I’m not coercing anyone,” he added.
