Peter Okoye, Nigerian Afrobeats singer better known as Mr P, says he never promised to give Tacha, who was recently disqualified from the ongoing Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) reality TV show, the sum of N60 million.

Tacha was sent packing from the house on Friday evening after she had engaged in a physical altercation with Mercy, a fellow housemate.

There were reports that Okoye, the second half of the defunct Psquare group, had during a live video made the pledge to the lady many adjudged “most controversial housemate of the season”, whether she wins or not.

However, in the wake of her disqualification from the BBNaija house, Mr P made another live video on Friday to clarify his stance with respect to the promise.

“I said I will help her make N60 million, never said I will give her N60 million,” he said.

The talented singer went ahead to pledge the sum of N10 million to anyone who can provide video evidence or a tweet where he promised Tacha the said amount.

“If anybody has the video, tweet from me or Instagram I posted, I will give the person N10 million,” he added.

A Twitter user, however, presented him with screenshots of what appeared to be Peter’s tweets on July 31, 2019.

“Constructed… how much did Big Brother pay me to hash tag them?. Abeg make we here word. Tacha is in good hands… my hands,” Peter replied the user.

Meanwhile, Zlatan Ibile, another Nigerians singer, has come under intense criticism on social media after he made a song mocking Tacha’s “body odour”.
