Omah Lay, the Nigerian singer, has revealed that he used to think Davido, his senior colleague, hated him.

Davido spoke about his love for Omah Lay’s songs during a recent live stream with Kai Cenat, the US content creator, who visited Nigeria.

During the live stream, the content creator was seen hanging out with Davido as the duo visited a Lagos nightlife club.

While leaving the club to Obi’s House, Davido entertained Cenat with Omah Lay’s song which is titled ‘Reason’.

The ‘Unavailable’ hitmaker also drew Cenat’s attention to the song, saying “Listen to this. This is Omah Lay”.

Responding to Davido, Cenat hailed the ‘So So’ hitmaker, adding that “I am scared of you bro”.

The content creator said he may not leave Nigeria because of the love he has received so far.

“I cannot believe it. I love Nigeria. I am not going back home. Omah Lay I am scared of you bro,” he added.

In his reaction via X, Omah Lay said he had always thought Davido disliked him.

“I’ve always thought OBO hated me!” he wrote.

Born Stanley Omah Didia, Omah Lay started his music career at the age of 15.

He got shot into the limelight in 2020 following the release of his two hit singles ‘You’ and ‘Bad Influence’.

Omah Lay has continued to make a name for himself in the Nigerian music industry, especially with his unique music style.

In 2022, he revealed how he battled with depression while recording ‘Boy Alone’, his debut album.

In May last year, the singer also recalled how he grew up “among criminals” in Port Harcourt, Rivers state.
