The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) says its ambulance team in Eti-osa has delivered a 35-year-old woman of a male child.

Olufemi Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu, the DG/CEO of LASEMA, broke the news to journalists on Saturday evening.

He said the baby was delivered at about 4:30 pm under the Ajah bridge.

Oke-Osanyintolu also said the woman, who was identified as Blessing Emmanuel, is from Rivers state.

It is understood that she became due for delivery while in Lagos with no family in the commercial city to care for her.

“The lady, who has no home nor family in Lagos, is from Cross River State,” he said.

“Mother and baby are fine and have been taken to Island Maternity where they will get expert care.”
