Ice Prince, the Nigerian rapper, says Rema is “one of the greatest musicians on earth”.

In a recent chat on Afrobeats Podcast, the rapper said he is “extremely proud of the young artiste”.

“I have records with almost all the young kids you can think about and guess what, they love me. I like the fact that they are comfortable around me,” he said.

“Talking about the young guys and how much they accept me or show me love, I just want to say how extremely proud I am of these young artistes as well.

“Right now, I think Rema is one of the greatest musicians ever on earth, on some Beethoven stuff. I am very proud of where it is.

“I know that we are in safe hands, our great-grand kids are in good hands because of what is already happening. Shout out to the culture.”

Rema has been enjoying massive reception from music lovers since he came into the limelight.

The singer released his eponymous debut EP ‘Rema’ in 2019.

In January 2020, he received the Soundcity MVP Award for ‘Best New Artiste’.

In August, ‘Calm Down’, a track off his debut album, became Billboard’s longest-charting US Afrobeats song.

Ice Prince, on the other hand, rose to fame in 2011 after he released ‘Oleku’, a chart-topping song off his debut album.

He has also collaborated with other music heavyweights.
