Bolatito Ojuola, a postgraduate student of Federal University of Technology Minna, Niger state, was reportedly stabbed to death by her fiancé following a disagreement at her off-campus residence on Monday.

Her fiancé, who sustained injuries during the fight, has recovered and is now in police custody.

She was studying science education at the institution.

Ojuola got engaged to best Origboshe after they met at her father’s company in Ondo state where he was a staff.

On the day of the sad incident, the victim was said to have prepared a meal which she presented to suspect but he refused to eat it and this infuriated Ojuola who demanded to know his reason.

An argument ensued and it escalated to a physical fight.

During the course of the argument, Ojuola grabbed a knife with which she injured her fiancé. In retaliation, Origbose got a knife and stabbed her in her midsection.

Both parties were rushed to the hospital where Ojuola was confirmed dead on arrival while Origbose was treated for his wounds and later released to the police.

The parents of the deceased have reportedly arrived Minna from Ondo state for their daughter’s corpse and also to follow up with investigations.

Bala Elkana, the state police spokesperson, has confirmed the incident, adding that investigations had commenced into the case.
