Portable, the controversial Nigerian singer, has been named “godfather” by the Omotosho Single Mothers Association (OSMA).
The singer was crowned with the title on Saturday by the association.
In a video shared on his Instagram page, Portable displayed his “godfather ID” and declared himself a “father figure to the children of the association’s members”.
“Akoi OMOTOSHO Single Mother’s Association United we stand 💯 international Governor Zazzu ZEH GOD FATHER 🔌,” the singer wrote in the caption.

The reason for the appointment by the OSMA was however not disclosed. The development has also raised eyebrows due to Portable’s controversial relationships.
The singer gained fame in December 2021 with the release of ‘Zazoo Zeh’, his hit single featuring Olamide and Poco Lee.
He has also released tracks such as ‘All Eyes On Me’, ‘Clear Azaman’, ‘Neighbour’, and ‘Ogo Forever’.
In May, Portable was arrested by the Lagos state police command for allegedly failing to pay the debt he incurred after purchasing his G-Wagon from a car dealer.
The ‘Zazoo Zeh’ hitmaker was said to have bought the vehicle worth N27 million but paid only N13 million.
Portable allegedly refused to pay the remaining N14 million and whenever the car dealer requested his money, he always claimed the vehicle was having issues.
The singer was granted bail shortly afterward. He also detailed his arrest in a song.
