Mohbad, the fast-rising singer, has put out a new single off his extended play (EP) titled ‘Ask About Me’.
The songwriter took to his Instagram page to share a snippet video for the song.
In the track, Mohbad sings about his success in the midst of enmity and betrayal.
“Ask about me Ask about me/ Won ti lemi but won mu mi/ Omo olorun ko le su mi/ Seke seke bula/ I’m still getting my mula/ Dollar pelu Naira/ Iku to pa iya teacher/ Ole pa awon nigga/ Ki lo n fo loke o/ Eye lo n fo loke o/ Ki lo n rin nile o/ Awon eyan lo ma ri n nile o/ Ma temi mole o/ ma te oju ile mole/ Ko ma ba do bale,” the lyrics read.
The singer also croons about how he has “won the battle against the Devil and made Satan one-legged like Jigan.”
“Iwo lo ma fekole/ Ko fi eko le fawa soldier/ Meta meta gbosa/ Awilo logomba/ Fun mi lowo ki n bizza/ Kese kese kasa/ Casa casablanca/ I open Bible chapter/ I step on the satan/ Mo pa esu danu/ Mo kan lese kan/ Otamu rege Jigan/ oo ahh/ oh oh why,” the lyrics add.
The song was released despite a threat by Jigan Babaoja, the actor, to take legal action.
The actor had warned the artiste that he would file a lawsuit worth N100 million over the lyrics.
Jigan had also threatened to break Asake’s leg for referencing his disability in his song ‘2:30‘.
