Asake, the Nigerian music star, has come through with ‘2:30’, his highly anticipated new single.

The less than 3 minutes song is produced by Blaisebeatz and Magicsticks. It also becomes Asake’s second song of the year, following the release of ‘Yoga‘ in January.

The music video sees Asake surrounded by beautiful unclad ladies.

While some of the ladies relish in the swimming pool, others sit around the large pool deck.

The ‘Organise’ singer soon turns up at the entrance of a club with a cigarette at hand and smoke rushing through the opening of his lips.

“Àwa de, àwa dé dé| Àwa lọ́’mọ to n so ti o seke| Orimolade gbemidebe, jigan jigan, ese mi o dele| Àlàyé mí stop shebe, ó fé je ń bi, o fe je ń be,” he sings in Yoruba and a bit of English Language.

After years as a budding artiste, Asake started to attract attention with the release of his hit song ‘Lady’ in 2020.

He was signed to Olamide-owned YBNL record label in February 2022, releasing ‘Ololade’, his debut EP, which housed four tracks.

Asake is a graduate of theatre and performing arts at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU).

In October 2022, while performing his track ‘Trabaye’, the music star pulled a goat around the stage to the cheers from the crowd.

Asake also announced his UK tour and subsequently sold out the prestigious O2 Academy Brixton in London in five minutes.
