The collaborative song, which was released on Friday, comes as yet another track from the 26-year-old following his four-track ‘Geng EP’ of 2020, which had followed his 2018 debut album.

In the romance-oriented song, the Afrobeats singer croons about a seeming lack of trust in his relationship with a purported lover amid the reservations that bedevil their new-found union.

Mayorkun, who has been on a rampage with collaborations in recent times, has continued to pull the strings of fame in the country’s music landscape with his critically acclaimed songs.

He was signed into DMW, a record label owned by Davido, in 2016, after he resolved to leave his bank job in search of other options due to low pay.

The singer gained popularity after ‘The Mayor of Lagos’, his debut album, wherein he featured D’banj, Davido, Patoranking, among others, in a project that did numbers across streaming platforms.

Mayorkun’s career strides have seen him scoop several awards including ‘Next Rated’ artiste at the 2018 edition of The Headies as well as ‘Artiste of the Year’ back in 2017.
