Ladipoe, the Nigerian rapper, has come through with a new single titled ‘Shut It Down’.

The Mavin Records artiste unveiled the new song via his Instagram page with the caption: “Something for my Lifelines to hold on to”.

‘Shut It Down’ is produced by Sigag Lauren.

“Speeding again/ At the four seasons again/ LADIPOE season again/ Time to go demon on dem/ Album mode switch, DND to my friends/ Stopped flexing still the movement is tense/ I was alte rap then turned it to a trend/ Don’t blame BIC what I do with the pen,” he sings.

“I shut it down down/ Me and the man dem around now/ Came a long way from the SoundCloud see me controlling the sound now yeh/ The success comes later/ Yeah you know me I’m the cape crusader/ Na superpower to attract these haters/ What can I say it’s just in my nature to.”

In 2017, Ladipoe became the first rapper to be signed to Mavin Records — owned by Don Jazzy.

He has become a popular name in the Nigerian music industry since then.

Ladipoe was nominated for the ‘Best International Flow’ category at the 2021 BET Hip Hop Awards but lost to Little Simz, the British rapper.
