Kcee, the Nigerian singer, has released a remix of his hit song ‘Ojapiano’, featuring OneRepublic, the American pop rock band.
The Afrobeats star announced the collaboration via social media on Friday.
Released in 2023, the original ‘Ojapiano’ seamlessly blends the rhythm of Amapiano with sound of the Igbo flute.
In the remix, OneRepublic, known for their brand of anthemic pop rock, complemented Kcee’s vocals with their melodious voices.
The new pop-infused Afrobeats track also preserved the original flavour of the ‘Ojapiano’ hit.
“E no easy to be wise ooh…believe Na to be strong man …see as dem dey look you all eyes on me like a tupac ooh I give dem Balenciaga,” the lyrics read.
Richard Mille, I too bad ooh I no dey for your chit chat ooh carry your matter dey go tik tok ooh my gentle dey Zongo ooh I no dey look back ooh.”
Kcee co-owns Five Star Music, a record label with E-Money, his brother.
In 2021, the Kcee teamed up with the Okwesili Eze Group to release a gospel music album titled ‘Cultural Praise’.
In August 2022, the singer said he switched genres from secular to gospel music to avoid career stagnation.
Kcee recently opened up about making more money from gospel music than secular songs.
OneRepublic, on the other hand, first commercial success on Myspace as an unsigned act.
In 2007, OneRepublic released ‘Dreaming Out Loud’, their debut album.
They have received several recognitions for their talent.
