Joeboy, the Nigerian singer, has put out a new single titled ‘Body and Soul’ — alongside its official visuals.

The music star announced the release of the song via social media in the early hours of Friday.

In the song, produced by E. Kelly, the Afrobeats star delivers his love lines to a perceived lover.

‘Body and Soul’ is one of the tracks off Joeboy’s forthcoming sophomore album.

“E no get anywhere wey I wan go/ If I could I would love you in my next life/ I don’t really care about tomorrow/ As long as you dey right now I go dey fine/ You got me high when I’m low low/ Shawty you can take my soul/ All these things wey I dey talk right now/ I dey feel am for my body and soul/ Oh oh,” the lyrics read.

‘Body and Soul’ is coming on the back of ‘Likkle Riddim’ released in October 2022.

Born Joseph Akinwale, Joeboy made his music incursion under the platform of ‘Empawa Africa’, a record label owned by Mr. Eazi, the singer who discovered him in 2017.

His genre of music is Afropop and R&B.

The singer has won several prestigious awards. In 2019, he won the ‘Best Artiste in African Pop’ prize at the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) and the ‘Best Pop’ at the Soundcity MVP Awards Festival in 2020.
