Joeboy, the Nigerian singer, has put out a new single titled ‘Likkle Riddim’.
The music star announced the release of the song via his social pages in the early hours of Friday.
‘Likkle Riddim’ is one of the tracks of Joeboy’s forthcoming sophomore album.
In the song, produced by P. Priime, the music star talks about how he gets mesmerised by the body of a perceived lover.
‘Likkle Riddim’ also sees Joeboy showing off his vocal prowess and versatility by combining Afropop with Dancehall.
“And me I got a girl and I don’t really mind/ Me I just want to grab your waistline tonight/ Oh yeah yeah (yo)/ The way you whine your body pon me/ Dey make me want to fuck you mami/ Omalicha nwanyo nwanyo/ The way you whine your body Pon me (yo)Dey make me want to dash you car key,” the lyrics read.
‘Likkle Riddim’ is coming on the back of “Contour“, Joeboy’s breakup-themed song.
Born Joseph Akinwale, Joeboy made his music incursion under the platform of ‘Empawa Africa’, a record label owned by Mr. Eazi, the singer who discovered him in 2017.
His genre of music is Afropop and R&B.
The singer has won several prestigious awards. In 2019, he won the ‘Best Artiste in African Pop’ prize at the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) and the ‘Best Pop’ at the Soundcity MVP Awards Festival in 2020.
