Davido has teamed up with Major Lazer, the Jamaican-American electronic music trio, for the remix of ‘Unavailable’, a hit song off ‘Timeless’, his latest album.
The megastar announced the release of the over three-minute funky song on his social media pages.
The initial single featured Musa Keys, a South African record producer.
Davido unveiled ‘Timeless’ on March 31.
On April 10, the body of work secured the 37th spot on the United States Billboard 200 chart.
The album also set its first-day streaming record for an African album on Apple Music in the same month.
‘Timeless’ recently surpassed one billion streams across major platforms — about four months after its release.
The project boasts a rich variety of collaborations with talented artistes such as Asake, Fave, Focalistic, Angelique Kidjo, and Skepta, among others.
The body of work also features chart-topping tracks including ‘Over Dem’, ‘In the Garden’, ‘Godfather’, ‘Feel’, ‘Kante’, ‘Bop’, ‘E Pain Me’, ‘Away,’ ‘Precision’, and ‘Na Money.’
Others are ‘U (Juju)’, ‘No Competition’, ‘Picasso’, ‘For the Road’, ‘LCND’, and ‘Champion Sound’.
With strings of awards and honourary mentions, the singer has established himself as one of the leading names in the African music industry.
