Crayon, the Nigerian singer, has come through with his debut album titled ‘Trench to Triumph’.
The singer announced the release of the 13-track project in the early hours of Friday.
“I am grateful for each and everyone of you for the support so far. I am nothing without you guys. Thank you family,” he wrote on Instagram.
“Today I bless the world, my debut album, Trench to Triumph out now.”
The music project features artistes like Oxlade, Ayra Starr, Victony, Magixx, Ktizo, and Yaba Buluku Boyz.
Songs in the album include ‘Calvary Kid’, ‘Trench Kid’ ft. Oxlade, ‘Ngozi’ ft. Ayra Starr, ‘Ijo (Laba Laba)’, ‘Belle Full’ ft. Victony and Ktizo, ‘You vs You’ ft. Magixx.
Others include ‘Modupe’, ‘The One (Chop Life)’ ft. Yaba Buluku Boyz, ‘Super Woman’, ‘Adey’, ‘L’eko’, ‘Wetin Go Be’ and ‘Good Day’.
‘Trench to Triumph’ comes about two years after ‘Cray Cray’ and ‘Twelve Am’, his two extended plays (EP).
Crayon got signed into Mavin Records in 2019.
He recently revealed that he gave up his university education to pursue music after attempting Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) five times.
“I will not be able to juggle school and music at the same time because in Nigeria it’s quite stressful,” he said.
“I was in UNILAG writing my post-UTME and I walked out and everyone was just looking at me like, ‘Who is the guy? How?’ Like, ‘Why would you do this after waiting for so long?’”
