Samklef has slammed fans of Wizkid for their “disrespect” despite his role in the singer’s career.

The producer had accused Banky W of not giving him his share of royalties from Wizkid’s 2011 project.

Banky W denied any involvement in the royalty split saga and asked Samklef to contact Sony, ASCAP, and BMI.

Amid the controversy, Samklef said he was going to release a documentary touching on both Wizkid and Banky W.

In the ensuing backlash, Samklef fired at Wizkid stans on social media, warning them against disrespecting him.

Samklef posted a picture of Wizkid’s debut album ‘Superstar’ on which he had worked as the main producer.

He stated that Wizkid’s success was based on the “foundation” he laid before the singer’s rise to global stardom.

“Dear Wizkid FC, insulting me is like insulting Wizkid! Na on top my foundation he use stand,” he wrote in Pidgin.

“So think before you do. Do your research. My work is one of the best albums out of Nigeria.

“The birth of your favourite. Don’t disrespect me. You won’t like it. Make a U-turn FC.

“I gave your favourite his first-ever 1 million naira show. Don’t disrespect me, Wizkid FC.”

Samklef’s rants about Wizkid started after Banky W spoke of the latter’s premature exit from EME, his label.

Banky W had claimed that Wizkid exited his five-album contract with EME after releasing just two projects.

Wizkid had, in 2019, said he left the record label without a penny.

He had signed a deal with EME in 2009, releasing ‘Superstar’ and ‘Ayo’, his first and second albums respectively.
