Davido, the Afrobeats star, has expressed shock over the seemingly low turnout for his concert in Abuja.
The Grammy-nominated singer is scheduled to perform at the Eagles Square on Thursday evening.
But in a flurry of posts via X, the singer wondered why the turnout of concertgoers was low at the venue.
“Abuja be like ur pple no wan do show. Is this a prank ???” Davido wrote.

The development has sparked a series of mixed reactions on X, with several users questioning Davido’s popularity in Abuja.
Despite the popularity of Davido hmm the turnout at his concert in Abuja's Eagle Square is currently less than anticipated
The contrast in audience size between this event and his typically packed shows in Lagos may be influenced by various factors…

Abuja people are use to headline artists delaying before climbing the stage, people won’t start leaving their house till 11 for Davido’s concert doesn’t mean they won’t pull up or that the organizers didn’t sell out enough tickets.

A few hours after Davido’s tweets, the venue of the concert began to witness the arrival of a plethora of concertgoers.
In October, the singer disclosed that he would be concluding his ‘Timeless’ world tour for the year 2023 in Nigeria.
Davido said the three-city concerts scheduled for December 14, 17, and 24 will mark the end of the ‘Timeless’ tour for 2023.
The concerts will kick off in the federal capital territory (FCT), after which the singer will take to the stage at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium in Port Harcourt three days later.
The Afrobeats star will round up the tour at the Eko Convention Centre in Lagos on December 24.
The singer released ‘Timeless’, his fourth album on March 31.
On April 10, the album secured the 37th spot on the United States Billboard 200 chart.
‘Timeless’ surpassed one billion streams across major platforms on August 3.
With a slew of awards and accolades, Davido has firmly established himself as one of the prominent names in the African music industry.
