David Adeleke, the Afropop star better known as Davido, has teased fans about his next song as well as his fourth album.

The ‘OBO’ crooner shared a snippet of the song titled ‘Stand Strong’ which features Kanye West’s Sunday service choir, The Samples.

According to him, the song would be the first track off his upcoming album. He also said the project would be released on May 13.

In the clip, Davido appears to be adopting West’s Sunday service style for the new song.

In 2019, the US rapper did a similar thing with his band when he sampled ‘If’, Davido’s hit song.

It remains to be seen if the forthcoming song will be a collaboration between West and Davido.

In a series of posts accompanying the clip, Davido said the project is special to him. He added that the project’s “conception has been different.”

“For the first time I want to bring you into the other part of my world. The part where every day is a battle but I have no option but to ‘Stand Strong’. I present to you, the first single off my next album,” he wrote.

“I know what I’ve experienced the past 10 years, and a lot of you have been through it all with me. But… have you really?

“This one is special to me. It’s different. The conception has been different. The mindset has been different. The making has been different.

“I know you love it when I make you dance, but now I want to make you feel. This one’s for everyone out there holding it up.”

In 2020, the music star came through with ‘A Better Time’, his third album.
