Regina Askia, the ace Nollywood actress, has taken to social media to put out resplendent pictures of herself as she turns 54.
In an Instagram post on Thursday, the film star shared a gallery of pictures of herself in a velvety dark-green dress with a feathery design around the shoulders just under a glimmering emerald necklace.
The stunning pictures were also accompanied by a brief goodwill message to herself.
“My ‘Thankful Thursday’ birthday is here, and I’m grateful. For both the trials and the joys and all the moments that have indeed taken my breath away,” she wrote.
“It’s been a long, long road to this day and in all things, we give thanks. Let gratitude change your attitude. That, my friends is the key. Happy birthday to me! Much love from the Lady of the Manor, Chateau Regin.”
Regina Askia kickstarted her career as a model and actress. She rode to the limelight in 1993 for her role as Tokunbo Johnson in ‘Fortunes’, a soap opera on the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) network.
She has continued to pull the strings afterward, starring in hundreds of Nollywood movies. She also snagged numerous awards as well as recognition.
She, however, took a break from the movie landscape many years ago after she travelled to the United States to practice nursing.
