Chris Jeyibo, CEO of Koga entertainment, who died on Friday, October 7 had several amazing things said of him on Wednesday at a tribute service held at Koga studios, Ikeja.
Family, friends, business associates and entertainers attested to the fact that Jeyibo was a selfless man who influenced their lives positively.
Wumi Obe, spouse of Tunde Obe, popularly known as TWO said while in school (UNILAG), Jeyibo was unique and it was obvious that he had a promising future.
2face Idibia, a popular musician, expressed grief over the death of Jeyibo who helped his career and was ever ready to support the entertainment industry.
A business associate of Jeyibo who worked with Jeyibo on the ‘Wedding Party’ admitted that the deceased was one of the major people who made the movie a success.
He explained that the first day on set for the movie was a terrible experience as it rained cats and dogs; the rain destroyed equipment worth N3 million but the late Jeyibo was there to lighten the mood and encourage every downcast soul.
He added that he was loved in the entertainment industry and the love he had for the industry was unfeigned.
Seun Kuti also shared in the grief as he said Jeyibo’s death just before Felabration 2016 was about to commence, made it an unforgettable experience. He said Jeyibo would have been present at the event if he had been alive.
Other entertainers like Vector, Patoranking said he was a loving and happy man who had immense passion for the entertainment industry and would never blow his trumpet for whatever he did for the industry.
Celebrities and loved ones prayed for the soul of the departed and that the family would be granted the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
