Chichi, the former Big Brother Naija (BBNaija), has detailed her battle with depression after the show’s reunion.

During this year’s BBNaija reunion, Chichi engaged in a heated argument with Phyna, another reality star.

Revisiting their feud in a recent interview, Phyna said she got infuriated because Chichi allegedly called her “unpleasant names”.

She also said Chichi sued her “for N100 million over defamation” — two days after the reunion.

But in a recent chat with Chude Jideonwo, Chichi said she took legal action against Phyna because she allegedly defamed her on social media platforms.

Chichi, born Chinenyenwa Desire Okoebor, said she was unbothered about Phyna’s “demeaning” remarks during the reunion. She added that “using social media to defame me” was what attracted the lawsuit.

The reality star also said she took a social media break after the reunion because “I was depressed and in a miserable state”.

“You were asked a question and you were supposed to respond to the question. Why do you have to say oh, your mama died, you have silicon in your body, and the last time I checked, I never told you I had silicon,” she said.

“She even went as far as to say I have kids, I was married. So many demeaning things.

“After the reunion, I was depressed. I deactivated my Instagram. My Twitter, my social media, I was not going there. Even now I am on and off because it is not easy for me.

“But I do not care about what you have gone to the reunion to say but your Snapchat or Instagram is not a reunion. It is not BBNaija, so using those platforms to defame is a no. So this thing is something I am going to see to the end.

“After the reunion, I was in a miserable state because I felt I went there to be destroyed, to be rendered useless – my brand and everything”.
