Charmian Carr, American actress who played the character Liesl, the eldest von Trapp daughter in the film The Sound of Music is no more.
Carr died at age 73 in Los Angeles.
Her representative said Carr died from a rare form of dementia complications, BBC reports.
The Sound of Music, released in 1965, was hugely successful due to its heart-warming storyline and the movie has remained evergreen since then.
Lovers of The Sound of Music have taken to several media platforms to express their love for the deceased and post their memories with clips from her performance.
