In a recent interview with HipTV, African China said rather than restructure the industry and making it thrive, music artistes have chosen to throw fits which would definitely retract the growth of the industry.

He said: “Why we are having this problem now is because we are busy fighting instead of restructuring and doing the right thing. I believe that it is only when we put our asset together we can have a way forward”.

The artiste also noted that the comedy industry is growing because the comedians have a structured platform and a widely accepted leader.

“The comedy industry is able to do all these things (things music industry has not achieved) because they have a platform, they respect one person and who is that person? We are talking about Alibaba who restructured the industry.”

He added that all the music industry needs is a messiah who would help make amends and help set things right for a luxuriant growth.

“We need a messiah in the music industry, we don’t need someone that would come and talk too much without anything being done. We don’t need a politician in the music industry, we need an active person.”
