The ‘Ojuelegba’ hitmaker sparked a frenzy on social media on Monday after mocking Davido and Don Jazzy.

Wizkid called Don Jazzy, the Mavin Records boss, an “influencer” while taunting Davido with a video of him on his knees, pleading and crying after a fan asked him to release new music.

The singer’s posts attracted criticism from a segment of social media users, including celebrities.

Joining the fray, Mr Macaroni said it was “disrespectful” for Wizkid to refer to Don Jazzy as an “influencer”.

The content creator also argued that Jazzy is “perhaps the biggest entertainment influencer in Africa”.

“Donjazzy is perhaps the biggest Entertainment Influencer in Africa. And the beautiful thing is that his influence cuts across. From music, to contents, films, brands etc,” he wrote via X.

“However, we would all be hypocrites to say that the context in which he was called an influencer isn’t disrespectful to everything he has done and is still doing for the Nigerian Music Industry. An absolute legend.

“He promotes Music Artistes even outside his record label. Gives free advice and visibility to up and coming artists, shows love to everyone irrespective of their status. I am also a beneficiary of his phenomenal influence! Don Baba J!!!! Your Influence Choke!!!”

Similarly, Perruzi took to the microblogging platform to refer to Wizkid as a “Lizard”. He wrote: “Lizard don mad again”.

Kizz Daniel, on the other hand, wrote: “This morning sha”.

The cryptic post did not go unnoticed as a user urged him not to provoke Wizkid.

“E never touch u… e fit later touch you, thread carefully Popsy dey para,” the user wrote.

In response, Kizz Daniel wrote: “Sho’ oloriburuku ni e ni ?! Sho ya Werey ?! I resemble industry for your eye ?!”

Tunde Ednut, the celebrity blogger, also slammed Wizkid for mocking his colleagues.
