Brymo, the Nigerian singer and songwriter, has embarked on a fresh rant on Twitter.

In a flurry of tweets on Monday, the ‘Ara’ crooner started by apologizing for his controversial comment about the Igbo community.

The singer had earlier said the Igbo people are not yet “ripe for the presidency.” He thereafter put out a derogatory tweet about the Igbo community, which attracted a wave of criticism on Twitter.

But in one of his latest tweets, Brymo apologised for his remark to “all Igbo persons I am in acquaintances with. I am deeply sorry that my opinions made distress for all.”

He also asked the public to pay less attention to him and more to Nigeria’s current condition under President Muhammadu Buhari.

“Look away from me hence, go take a good look at the general for once. stop the stalling, begin questioning your journey,” he wrote.

“We have a country to build, fix your f**king attitudes. It is not war; I make deep, and intense love at everything…”

Hours after his apology, Brymo said he has changed his mind. He, however, did not state why he is changing his mind and the reason for the tweet.

Brymo’s Twitter rants come a few hours after the 8th All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) was held in Senegal, with four Nigerian music heavyweights winning their different categories.

Brymo, who was nominated under the ‘Songwriter of the Year’, didn’t win the category.

TheCable Lifestyle earlier reported how thousands of Nigerians petitioned the 8th AFRIMA to strip him of his nomination.
