Ahmedu Obiabo, the Nigerian dancehall singer better known as Blackface, has accused Shallipopi of “copying his song”.
In a post via his Instagram page, the 50-year-old shared a video where he played a snippet of his song ‘Enemy Plan Enemy Fail’ and ‘ASAP’, a track of ‘Shakespopi‘, Shallipopi’s new album.

He further questioned if other Nigerian artistes could not make their music without “copying my song or melody”.
“Una mean say if them no copy my sound or melody, them no go get song to sing? Okay I don make remix for una so make una better abandon this una project,” he wrote.

This is not the first time Blackface has accused another artiste of stealing his song.
In October, he accused Olamide of copyright infringements, adding that the YBNL boss stole several songs in his career. He also claimed that Asake sampled his song ‘Ikebe Super’ in ‘Joha’.
The singer tackled the pair for not reaching out to him over the alleged use of his work.
In 2022, Blackface also accused Wizkid and Burna Boy of sampling his song without giving him credit.
