Billie Eilish, US singer and songwriter, says watching porn while growing up caused her “nightmares” and “really destroyed my brain.”
The award-winning musician, who turns 20 on Saturday, was reflecting on her childhood and career when she appeared on the Howard Stern Show on Monday.
During the show, the ‘Bad Guy’ crooner said she started watching porn at the age of 11 and later became addicted to it.
“As a woman, I think porn is a disgrace. I used to watch a lot of porn, to be honest. I started watching porn when I was like 11. I think it really destroyed my brain and I feel incredibly devastated that I was exposed to so much porn,” she said.
“The first few times I, you know, had sex, I was not saying no to things that were not good. It was because I thought that’s what I was supposed to be attracted to.”
The music star said she is angry for thinking porn was okay at the time. She also condemned the fact that porn has become popular among many people across the globe.
“I’m so angry that porn is so loved, and I’m so angry at myself for thinking that it was okay,” she added.
“The way that vaginas look in porn is fucking crazy. No vaginas look like that. Women’s bodies don’t look like that. We don’t come like that.”
