Olamilekan ‘Laycon’ Agbeleshe, winner of the 2020 edition of the Big Brother Naija (BBNaija), has been presented with a cheque of N30 million.

The ‘Fierce’ crooner received the cash prize on Wednesday alongside the key to a Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) from Innoson Motors and a luxury two-bedroom apartment by Revolution Properties.

Speaking at the live prize presentation event, Laycon expressed his gratitude to all those who supported him while in the reality show.

“I came to promote my song and go maybe after two weeks. But fans saw something in me to keep me in the house to win. I love them all,” he said.

On his part, John Ugbe, managing director of MultiChoice Nigeria, appreciated the reality show’s crew for working to ensure that the show was a success.

He also commended Ebuka Obi-Uchendu for his efforts and dress style while hosting the show.

“Ebuka’s wardrobe choices broke the internet every eviction Sunday,” he said.

“Thank you for lighting up the stage, engaging our viewers of the show and on behalf of the show, we say thank you.

“The creative industry contributes immensely to the nation and in 2016 alone the IMF announced that Nigeria’s creative industry accounted for approximately N239 billion of the nation’s GDP.”

Laycon snagged the reality show’s N85 million grand prize on Sunday night after emerging winner of the fifth edition of the BBNaija.
