Ayra Starr, the Nigerian singer, has come through with a new song titled ‘Bad Vibes’.

The songstress released the new track in the early hours of Friday ahead of her sophomore album ‘The Year I Turned 21’.

In ‘Bad Vibes’, Starr employed the musical dexterity of Seyi Vibez, the Nigerian singer.

In the song, Starr croons about her desire to focus on enjoyment over bad energy while Seyi Vibez goes spiritual.

“No dey throw bad vibes/ where the money dey that is where I am at/ Anyhow e be I dey play my part/ Igi gogoro má gùn mi loju mio fo o/ I let the world touch my knee/ I know you know I never drink/ I’m mixing with that Hennessy/ God dey see in me/ Hallelujah,” Starr sings.

“I go dance for Michael Jackson/ Mama you see me sin have mercy on me/ The angels never forsake me/ Aleluyah morenikejì/ I just want to play my part/ Sometimes I pray and fast seven days and night,” Vibez sings.

Last week, Starr unveiled details for her 14-track project.

‘The Year I Turned 21’ follows the success of the music star’s 2021 debut album, ’19 & Dangerous’.

The album is set to drop on May 31 via Universal Music.

Born Oyinkansola Aderibigbe, Starr became a viral sensation after releasing her hit track ‘Bloody Samaritan’ in 2021.

She was among the Nigerian music artistes nominated for this year’s Grammy Awards.

She was nominated in the maiden ‘Best African Music Performance’ category for ‘Rush’.

The music star, however, lost to Tyla, the South African singer.
