AUNTY RAMOTA’S RUMOURED BBL SURGERY

Last week, the internet was inundated with rumours that Ramota Adetu, the Nigerian actress better known as Aunty Ramota, was hospitalised after undergoing a failed Brazilian Butt Lifting (BBL) surgery.

Tosin Silverdam, a blogger, claimed Aunty Ramota had visited a health facility in Ikorodu, Lagos to enhance her physical appearance. He also alleged that the procedure did not go well.

However, Aunty Ramota dismissed the reports while showing off her full figure. She assured her fans that she was perfectly fine.

“My lovers, thank you, nothing happened to me. This is my body,” she had said in Yoruba language.

The media personality, however, did not disclose the ailments. He added that he is focused on “fixing” his body in 2024.

“Had 3 health scares in 2023 and ended the year in surgery… Fixing the body in 2024,” he said.

Yvonne Jegede and Nedu, the radio personality, were in the news last week over the actress’ contentious comments on polygamy.

Jegede made some controversial remarks about polygamy during a show hosted by Nedu.

The actress argued that it was “hypocritical” for the same people supporting Ned Nwoko’s polygamous marriages to criticise that of Yul Edochie.

The comments sparked backlash, leading Jegede to apologise to May Edochie, Yul’s estranged wife.

Reacting to Jegede’s remarks, Nedu stated through his management that Jegede was not coerced into making any remarks on the podcast.

He urged Jegede to stop her “defamatory attacks and vitriolic rhetoric” and refrain from playing the victim.

The ‘Asiwaju’ hitmaker said despite “the car tumbling three times” he was grateful to God that he and his friends came out unharmed.

He also said that was the last time he “drove in Lagos”.

“The last time I drove in Lagos I had an accident. It was at night, we were playing around when it happened and nobody actually knows about it,” he said.

“This is the first time I am talking about it. The car tumbled like three times but everyone was okay. This was last year by the way.”

KOREDE BELLO: I TRIED WEED BEFORE… IT’S NOT MY THING

Last week, Korede Bello revealed that he smoked weed earlier in life but realised that it was a bad life choice.

The 28-year-old singer said the effects of his father’s smoking habit prompted his decision to stay away from anything that would affect his psychological and emotional wellness.

PAT ATTAH: WHY I LEFT ACTING, RELOCATED TO GERMANY

Pat Attah, the actor, revealed he left Nollywood and relocated to Germany because he felt constrained by the public’s expectations after he became famous.

Attah said he got into the entertainment industry because of his passion for the arts and not for fame.

The 48-year-old actor added that the pressure led him to take a break and move to a place where he could live more freely.

PORTABLE VS SAIDA BOJ

Saida Boj, the influencer, and Portable, the controversial singer, last week engaged in a heated war of words on social media.

The controversy started after Saida declared that any man who gave her N20 million would be allowed to “explore” any part of her body.

Saida’s remarks, however, stirred mixed reactions on social media. Some users criticised her for misleading young women, while others defended her.

Joining the fray, Portable said the influencer is becoming a “nuisance on social media” while warning her not to “mislead ladies”.

Saida responded by hurling insults at Portable while describing him as “an ingrate” who “betrays people who help him”.

She also claimed the singer would not have a career without the help of other artistes.
