Alter Ego, a film that tells the story of a human and child’s rights activist, has swept up the highest number of nominations for the 2018 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Award (AMVCA).

The 2017 film received rave reviews with lead actress Omotola Jalade Ekeinde giving a stellar performance.

For her performance in ‘Alter Ego’, Omotola is nominated in the best actress in a drama/TV series category.

Wale Ojo, who played the male lead, also received a nod for best actor in a drama/TV series while Emem Inwang bagged a nomination for best supporting actress.

‘Alter Ego’ is nominated for best cinematography movies/TV series with Bishop Blunt and Adeoye Adeniyi at the helm.

With Moses Inwang and Tunde Bakare behind the scenes, the drama also received a nod for best picture editor.

The visionary Inwang also bagged a best director nomination for his work on the film.

Zezom Gnawni received a nomination for best sound editor on ‘Alter Ego’.

The Esther Eyibo-produced film is nominated for best movie West Africa and best overall movie.

Wale Ojo also received a nomination for best supporting actor in ‘Betrayal’ making him the only actor nominated twice.
