Rita Dominic, the Nigerian film star, has once again dismissed a report claiming she welcomed a set of twins with her husband.

On Sunday, social media was awash with rumours that the actress had given birth.

Reacting to the speculation via X, the film star shared a gif of a little girl with the caption “You know you lying”.

“One minute I am in a photoshoot for a film, next minute I have delivered triplets. Just like that!” she wrote in another post.

A similar rumour circulated on social media platforms last year that the actress had given birth to twins.

The film star reacted to the claim, saying it was “fake news”.

Dominic, who celebrated her 48th birthday on July 12, tied the knot with Fidelis Anosike, her husband, in April 2022.

In May 2022, there were rumours that their marriage was in crisis over an alleged infidelity involving Anosike.

Mildred Okwo, Dominic’s colleague and close friend, however, debunked the allegations.

She slammed the rumour mongers for spreading “lies about people”.

Okwo also wondered why people circulate content capable of attracting defamation lawsuits.

“If they file a lawsuit against you for defamation for spread lies about people, you will call them wicked,” she had written.

Dominic — alongside Ramsey Nouah — will be starring in ’77: The FESTAC Conspiracy,’ the highly anticipated sequel to the 2016 hit film ’76.

The actress started acting as a child; appearing in school plays and children’s television shows in Imo state.

Dominic has been featured in over 100 Nollywood films. She has also won a plethora of awards over the years.
