Adele, the Grammy-winning singer, has put forward a release date for ‘Easy On Me’, her first song since 2015.

The date was announced on the Grammy winner’s verified Twitter page on Tuesday, alongside a video teaser of the track.

The tweet confirmed that the highly anticipated song would be available to her fans on October 15.

The accompanying 21-second monochrome clip paints the melancholic mood that the music will embrace.

The snippet shows the English singer embarking on a road trip, blasting the tune in her car stereo while the onrushing wind spills her music sheets as she speeds off on the highway.

Since the release of ’25’, her third studio album, in 2015, Adele had gone on an unannounced music hiatus, releasing no songs, even prematurely ending her 2016 tour after damaging her vocal cords.

It appears the break will not only end with the announced track but a new album waiting in the offing.

The 33-year-old ‘Hello’ crooner has been heightening anticipation on social media by severally sharing pictures of billboards with ’30.’

The images have stirred speculations that the singer might release a new body of works soon.

This is due to Adele’s tradition of naming her albums with her age at the time of their release (19, 21, 25).
