Dejo Tunfulu, the Nollywood actor who is popular in the Yoruba movie industry, is dead.

According to NAN, Bolaji Amusan, the national president of the Theatre Arts and Motion Picture Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), confirmed Tunfulu’s demise on Friday.

Amusan said the comic actor, real name Kunle Tokunbo, died on Thursday night.

He said his death was shocking as the late Tokunbo still attended a party three days ago.

“Yes, we lost Dejo Tunfulu, I am so shocked because he still attended a party three days ago,” Amusan said.

“May God grant him eternal rest, the association will communicate to the public further.”

Tokunbo was a prominent Yoruba comic actor, writer, and producer.

He was born on May 31, 1972, in Idumota, Lagos Island.

He hailed from the Ikija area of Abeokuta in Ogun.

Tokunbo was known for such Yoruba movie titles as ‘Hally The Drummer’ (2016) and ‘Jide Jendo’.
