Adekunle Gold and Simi, the celebrity couple, have put out the acoustic version of their song titled ‘Look What You Made Me Do’.
Gold took to his social media pages on Saturday evening to announce the project.
On her part, Simi reflected on how she eventually agreed to marry Gold after “airing him on Facebook for years”.
“When you finally agree to marry him after airing him on Facebook for years,” she wrote on Instagram.
In the acoustic version, the lovebirds deliver their lyrics and verses without the usual beats but a piano which was played by Simi.
The depth of their chemistry and connection is also portrayed through the intimacy captured in the visuals.
“Look at me now/ A victim of my pride/ I made a vow you’d never catch me falling/ Oh what a life/ It caught me by surprise/ Now I dream of you, and my heart is throbbing,” Gold sings.
“Love at first sight/ Is it in my head/ Cupid is asking/ Why are you running/ So who is the stranger that’s in my bed/ I didn’t want to/ But I found my person o,” Simi adds.
Gold also put out the official visuals for the new track.
The music video was directed by DK, the filmmaker.
‘Look What You Made Me Do’ is one of the songs from Gold’s fifth album ‘Tequila Ever After‘ released in 2023.
Last week, Gold put out the visuals for the main song to mark their 5th wedding anniversary.
The pair tied the knot in January 2019 and welcomed their first child together in June 2020.
