Zinoleesky, the Nigerian singer, has released a vibrant new single ‘Celine Dion,’ serving a dose of his signature sound just months after his debut album.
The track, which hit all major streaming platforms in the early hours of Friday, is a feel-good, high-energy jam.
Clocking in at under three minutes, ‘Celine Dion’ features Zinoleesky’s characteristic catchy lyrics delivered over an uptempo beat, creating an irresistible rhythm designed for the dancefloor.
“Baby osha ti mo ru mi/ Jowo baby ke kin momu yi/ Ma gbe ishe mi felomi/ I just want s-e-x no l-o-v-e/ Baby have you ever met a kalakuta boy/ When I finish you go need paracetamol/ Baby girl you too much/ Je kin ma tesinapot/ I no dey do too much,” he sings.
The title is a cheeky nod to the award-winning Canadian singer Celine Dion, who is globally renowned as the ‘Queen of Power Ballads’ for her powerful and technically skilled vocals.
Zinoleesky’s track, while sonically different, borrows the name to signify a different kind of “power” performance.
Born Oniyinde Azeez, Zinoleesky has been making waves in the Nigerian music industry since joining Marlian Records in 2020.
The singer released his debut extended play (EP) ‘Chrome Eccentric’ in December 2020.
His discography has since expanded to include the well-received project ‘Grit & Lust’ (2022) — which featured collaborations with Omah Lay and Ayra Starr — and his debut studio album, ‘Gen Z,’ released in April of this year.
