For reneging on his promise to release an album in July 2016, Shadrach Adeboye Folarin, EME singer known as Shaydee, has apologised to expectant fans.

Shaydee recently informed TheCable Lifestyle that his debut album was delayed so as to get it right.

He said: “I apologise to the fans for the delay. We are just trying to do it properly but you wont wait too long. There would be an announcement in a couple of days hopefully.”

Having shown versatility and range in his music output, Shaydee says the upcoming album will see him delve into various genres.

One of the reasons for this decision, the singer says, is to reach a wider audience.

“I always enjoy making music in different genres because it also appeals to a larger number of fans and thats why I do what I do.”

Beyond his apology, his fans would be excited to know that Shaydee’s debut album will have several high profile appearances.

“I’m lucky to have the likes of 2baba, Wizkid, Burna Boy, Reminisce, Flavour, Phyno, Banky W, Ice Prince, Niyola, Apass and Iyanya on the album”, he added.

Just like Wizkid, his former label mate who’s been doing a lot of international collaborations, Shaydee hopes to someday work with American singers, Rihanna, Chris Brown and the legendary Stevie Wonder.
