Seyi Awolowo, the former Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) All-Stars housemate, has once again apologised for his insensitive remarks on the show.
Awolowo has been in the public eye since he opened up about his intentions to bankroll his son and their friends to have sexual intercourse with pre-arranged girls.
The remark provoked widespread criticism from Nigerians and even the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA).
Awolowo would later tender an apology over the remark many described as “misogynistic”.
Revisiting the matter in a chat with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, the reality TV star said his remark was “nasty”.
Awolowo, who was recently evicted, said he is hopeful people can “see past my humanity” and are willing to work with him as he ventures into film production.
“I was trying to hold it together because my remark did not leave my head ever since… What I said was nasty but I am sorry,” he said.
“I live for my family and it is almost as if I do not even know how I am gonna go from here, because that is the kind of thing that just makes you toxic materials for any brand or anybody.
“The house got to me at that time. The entire energy in the house and the stress of everything got into me at the time. I was venting at the wrong time in the wrong way.
“Hopefully, if people still want to work with me, I definitely would love to. I am looking forward to trying to produce my own. I already had a script I was working on before the house.
“I am hoping for the best that people would see past my humanity and see the other side of me and still want to help me out because I am sure I need a lot of money for my production.”
