On Saturday, Rita Orji, a Nigerian researcher based in Canada, had in a Twitter thread narrated an email she got from a 22-year-old lady.

According to Orji, the lady recently got a fully-funded scholarship admission for a master’s degree programme abroad.

She said the lady, however, faces a tough situation as her boyfriend threatened to break up with her if she decides to pursue the programme.

According to her, the undisclosed lady appeared to be scared of losing the boyfriend as he already promised to marry her.

The lady, Orji said, had written her to solicit her opinion and that of others on what to do.

“Woke up to an email from a lady who got a fully-funded admission for an MSc abroad Her ‘boyfriend’ told her to choose between the admission & him. She seeks advice,” she wrote.

The post has continued to elicit several reactions, with many Nigerians sharing their views using the hashtag ‘#She’s22’.

Weighing into the matter, Hassani urged the lady to choose the scholarship offer over her boyfriend.

The musician also promised to grace the lady’s wedding if she completes the programme and eventually finds the man “meant for her.”

“At 22′, if you’re reading this, please leave that guy/imbecile, block him on all platforms, go for your Masters Degree and Flourish as God has intended you to. I will sing at your wedding when you meet the man really meant for you. I hope you see this,” he wrote.
