The sex tape scandal involving Tiwa Savage, the Nigerian singer, is among Nigeria’s most searched keywords on Google in October 2021.

Also making the list was the memorial protest to honour the Nigerians who died during the EndSARS movement in 2020.

Google, on Friday, released a list of some of the most searched keywords by Nigerians in October 2021.

Earlier this month, Tiwa announced she was being blackmailed over a sex tape which she said was “mistakenly” uploaded online.

The news caught the attention of her fans in Nigeria and across the world.

When the video was later leaked online, it sparked conversation.

Also on the list was the conclusion of the highly anticipated boxing bout between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder which piqued public interest.

Boxing match reviews and images of Wilder taking beatings and being slammed into the ropes by Fury filled the internet, prompting fans to search for more.

Other interesting searches by Nigerians this month were the releases of hit songs like ‘Alcohol’ and ‘Levels’ by Joe Boy and Flavour respectively.

“Nmandi Kanu Biafra” was also a top searched term by Nigerians who were interested in the ongoing trial of the pro-Biafra activist and the adjournment of his court case until November 10 by the federal high court in Abuja.
