Bella Disu, Glo vice-chairman, to publish book on Nigerian culture

Bella Disu, the executive vice-chairman of Globacom Limited, a Nigerian multinational telecommunications company, is set to publish a book that dwells on the country’s culture in 2021.

In a recently updated bio on her website, the 34-year-old, who is the daughter of Mike Adenuga, founder of Globacom, said the book was inspired by her desire to see the return of the richly narrated folk-tales she read as a child.

She added that the book will be for children aged 5-7.

“The book, a folktale that reflects Nigerian culture and characters, will be published in 2021,” it read.

Disu, who was recently appointed the chairman of the board of directors of Abumet Nigeria Limited, is a non-executive director of Julius Berger, a construction company.

She is also a member of the Institute of Directors, Nigeria, and the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM).

Disu studied International Relations at the University of Massachusetts and holds an M.Sc in Leadership from Northeastern University, Boston.

She is an avid sponsor of the arts and, in this capacity, a director of the Mike Adenuga Centre.

Having also been a music lover, she plays the piano and saxophone. The businesswoman has, for years, been a benefactor of the Musical Society of Nigeria (MUSON) to “encourage a better environment for musical learning.”
