Bill Carpenter, Sneed’s publicist, who broke the sad news, said the singer died in the early hours of Monday at a hospital in Jacksonville, Florida.

Sneed began his early music days with the Georgia mass choir where he featured prominently in their albums and shows.

In 1999, he started out his career officially with the release of ‘Call Jesus’, his debut album. Sneed subsequently dropped ‘Bless That Wonderful Name’ in 2001.

“I don’t know how to make sense of this. I’m not okay, man. COVID-19 sucks. Will you all please pray for Emily & the kids? Please? RIH, King. Or walk around it … all day. #RIPTroySneed,” he wrote.
